Mr. Hakan Ozalpay was born in Turkey in the city of Ankara in 1959. He was educated in the United States and completed the University of California Los Angeles Graduate School Of Management (UCLA). After many years of study in the United States he moved back to his home town of Istanbul where he started his career in the hotel industry in the year 1977. With his vast experience of 35 years in the hospitality business he has worked in top management positions of International Hotel Chains such as the Hilton, Swissotel, Renaissance Hotels, InterContinental Hotels Group and Regent International Hotels in various countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Switzerland and Kazakhstan. He also has extensive international experience in other industries such as the Finance, Construction and Energy and Technology sectors as a top executive for many years. He is a member of International gourmet and tourism clubs such as “Chaine des Rotisseurs” and “SKAL International” for the past 16 years.

Mrs. Fatoş Ozalpay was born in Istanbul in 1961. She completed Tourism and Hotel Management program in Bosphorus University, Türkiye.
While studying in the university, in 1980 she started her career in the hotel industry. Till 1997, she has built up her experience by working as a professional in international chain hotels, Istanbul Hilton and Swissotel in various positions, as well she has worked in an international import export based company for 6 years.
She is one of the founding team members of the Swissotel Hotel School- Istanbul; in charge of administrative set-up, management and lecturing between 1993 and 1997.
Besides core business, knowing the fact of the desperate need for qualified manpower for the development of Azerbaijan tourism industry she assisted in the founding of the Azerbaijan Tourism Institute. She established the ATI Hospitality Training Center to develop qualified manpower skills development trainings for the hospitality industry; conducted vocational skills development trainings. Also set up internship department for ATI students. 500+ students have been placed in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Greece and Israel and also started the establishment of the Baku SKAL Club (International Tourism Association)
